The House of Culture of l’ Alfàs del Pi welcomes this Saturday February 24 the fifth conference’ Nutrition, Sport and Health’, an initiative aimed at promoting healthy living habits among citizens that have solidarity purposes, since everything that is collected with the registration will be donated to the Association of Relatives and Mental Illnesses of the Marina Baixa (AFEM).
As usual, the day will start with a healthy breakfast and continue with salsa, CrossFit and Stretching sessions. Finally, Naturtek dietician Tamara Lloret, the promoter of this initiative, will give the talk’ Nutrition and sport: myths and realities’.
This is an activity aimed at promoting healthy habits among the population, from a healthy diet to the practice of physical exercise. This morning, the Mayor of Health, Marisa Cortés, and the Mayor of Sports, Luis Miguel Morant, presented the initiative together with the dietician Tamara Lloret and the president of AFEM, Consolación Muro.
The day stands out for its solidarity, since a donation of 5 euros has been established and will be donated in its entirety to AFEM, an association that has been working since its foundation in 1997 to provide assistance and advice to people with mental illness and their families.
AFEM currently offers psychological, social and therapeutic support services, coordinates and refers cases with the social and health services and develops various programmes, such as psychosocial rehabilitation, home care, occupational rehabilitation, leisure and free time, information and awareness programmes on mental illness and the psychoeducational programme for families.
